SkillStorm is seeking a Project Manager for our client in Jersey City, NJ. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.
Job Description:
- Engage and communicate with multi-disciplinary teams to drive awareness, set vision, and help define strategy for target state.
- Partner across teams, develop and implement an effective governance structure, ensure adherence to program objectives and identify risk and control solutions.
- Ability to work in a very detailed manner broadly across teams to develop connections and themes identifying risks and concerns
- Responsible for programs/projects specific to corporate change initiatives that have significant impact on how the company does business, provides a product or service, or executes a function.
- Communicates, influences, and negotiates both vertically and horizontally to obtain or leverage necessary resources
- Accountable for analyzing present-state gap, developing alternative future-state approaches, and facilitating implementation.
- Creates a clear, coherent approach to guide effective program/initiative setup, execution, and control
- Integrates knowledge of end-to-end business process into program planning and decisioning processes

Desired Skills:
- 8+ years’ experience managing diverse programs and projects/initiatives
- Experience in running governance for large scale technology programs
- Experience and tolerance to work iteratively in a fast-paced environment
- Back ground in Capital Markets – Must
- Experience in Program Management including management of delivery, financials, reporting, escalations, etc – Must
- Effectively communicates with managers, peers, and control function partners at all level of the organization on deliverables, timelines and support needed
- Demonstrates commitment to excellence by anticipating needs, mitigating risks and minimizing potential problems
- Collaborative, team player with the ability to connect across groups
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, the ability to ability to prioritize requests and workload accordingly, and meet deadlines
- Critical thinking/analytical skills
- Ability to engage and influence teammates, up, down and across the organization
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to make effective presentations
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal – including proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint and other Microsoft Office tools

- Ability to identify and escalate concerns/issues with a sense of urgency
- Ability to manage and prioritize the work of others, directly and indirectly
