Project Manager (Closed)
SkillStorm is seeking a Project Manager for our client in New York, NY. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.
Job Description:
- This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivery of defined deliverables while engaging with LOB technology teams, regulatory and business stakeholders.
Role Responsibilities:
- Track and communicate project status and milestone delivery to key stakeholders using enterprise program management tools and techniques in alignment with corporate change and project management framework
- Facilitate a clear, coherent approach to guide effective project setup and control.
- Partner with project managers on all PMO governance requirements such as QA Assessments, Tollgates, Permits, Quality Defect Reports, etc.
- Responsible for working with central PMO team, Global Information Security, and program leaders to drive effective results
- Day to day interaction with SLT and team leads/delegates covering a variety of work products including but not limited to:
- Providing end-to-end visibility into the health of the deliverables
- Facilitating routines to support delivery (for example, kick-offs, status reviews, stakeholder meetings, change controls, etc.)
- Managing risk and ensuring compliance to enterprise standards
- Will become a subject matter expert in project governance policies and procedures
- Must have skills/talents:
- Advanced Excel user with knowledge of pivots, vlookups, logical tests (if, sumif, sumifs), graphs, etc.
- Advanced PowerPoint user with the ability to deliver concise presentations at all organization levels
- Customer/client relationship skills - ability to develop relationships quickly
- Delivery focused - ability to analyze a situation and provide responses in a concrete, confident manner
- Analytical - apply sound business practices to drive efficiencies and develop solutions
- Leadership focused - a strong track record of managing expectations at the senior leadership level
- Proactive - desire to own the responsibility and the drive to accomplish positive results
- Collaborative - work well within a team with the ability to listen and contribute
- Highly organized and able to manage and prioritize work for multiple stakeholders
Nice to have:
- Project Management experience, preferably working on complex multi-functional programs, ideally with a focus on technology projects and experience using Bank of America project methodology and tools (i.e. PPRT, JIRA, etc.)
- Experience with PMO Governance and Enterprise Change requirements
- Experience with agile methodologies, routines, and tools
