Project Manager (Closed)
SkillStorm is seeking a Project Manager for our client in Charlotte, NC OR Richmond, VA OR Richardson, TX. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.
Job Description:
- This position is responsible for planning and executing project responsibilities within strict timelines and within budget. This includes coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver projects according to plan. The Project Manager will also define the project’s objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Define and document project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders
- Develop full-scale project plans and associated communication documents
- Effectively communicate project expectations to project team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion
- Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
- Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path
- Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools
- Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations
- 7 - 10 years. Responsible for end-to-end management and delivery of a material change for a project of high complexity across multiple departments within a single business unit. Manages, leads, and directs the work efforts of resources that may be functionally aligned as part of the project and/or organizationally aligned as direct reports. Responsible for the end-to-end integration of various work streams to deliver the intended project solution. Responsibilities include: Manage Project Scope, Timeline and Budget/Expenses; Obtain and align resources to key project roles; establish clearly defined responsibilities and accountabilities; Oversight/Manage/Lead project execution, integration and implementation; Risk Management and Mitigation Planning; Readiness/Change Adoption/Stakeholder Management; Quality Assurance, ensure that all applicable change requirements are satisfied; Acts as the primary point of contact and integration for the project.
- Requires a broad technical background with 3-tiered applications and experience operating production environments.
- Proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects at various stages of the project life cycle
- Problem Solving & Communications Skills, including significant experience facilitating communication among technologists, technology managers, and non-technology managers.
- Strong working knowledge, experience and familiarity with Scrum, Kanban and Agile methodologies.
- 1-3 years of working knowledge and experience with tools like Jira and Confluence
- Experience managing large, finance-impacting program implementations
- Experience managing across varied finance, business, and IT stakeholder groups and maintaining key relationships
- Ability to manage in a high volume, fast paced changing environment with good time management skills and the ability to manage teams.
- Excellent interpersonal, influencing, communication, and organizational skills and the ability to deliver across levels
- Self-starter with a demonstrated ability to operate independently and remain focused through change or uncertainty.
- Budgeting, cost control, and risk management experience
