Project Manager (Closed)

SkillStorm is seeking a Project Manager for our client in Charlotte. NC. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.

Job Description:

  • 10 + years. Responsible for end-to-end management and delivery of a material change for a project of high complexity across multiple departments across multiple business units. Manages, leads and directs the work efforts of resources that may be functionally aligned as part of the project and/or organizationally aligned as direct reports. Responsible for the end-to-end integration of various work streams to deliver the intended project solution. Responsibilities include: Manage Project Scope, Timeline and Budget/Expenses; obtain and align resources to key project roles; establish clearly defined responsibilities and accountabilities; oversight/Manage/Lead project execution, integration and implementation; Risk Management and Mitigation Planning; Readiness / Change Adoption/Stakeholder Management; Quality Assurance, ensure that all applicable change requirements are satisfied; Acts as the primary point of contact and integration for the project; Acts as a Program Manager if required on an interim basis; Ability to represent / deputize senior project stakeholders where required

Position Summary:

  • Responsible for the planning, coordinating, and delivery of defined deliverables for a larger program which requires engagement from teams across multiple organizations. Communicates the target outcomes, coordinates delivery, manages risks, ensures compliance to standards, and provides visibility into the health of the program. Ensures execution and delivery meets the clients’ expectations in terms of the target outcomes, timeline, cost. Manages financials for the program, assist with resource planning, and facilitate sync points between business and technology leaders across multiple organizations. Establishes the target outcomes in partnership with the stakeholders and leaders. Establishes and builds relationships with business and technology leaders across multiple organizations, as well as Compliance and Risk. Coordinates and facilitates the program routines - e.g. kick-off, status reviews, stakeholder meetings, change controls, tollgates, etc. Plans and coordinates delivery and dependencies across multiple organizations. Promotes/facilitates communication and collaboration across organizations to achieve the target outcomes and timeline. Facilitates dependency management/risk management/impediment removal. Responsible to provide status updates to stakeholders and leadership pertaining to the target outcomes, delivery, risks/issues, and schedule. Ensures that execution is aligned with target outcomes by working with the sponsor/stakeholders. Ensures the work delivered complies with Enterprise Change Management standards. Tracks the success metrics and reviews performance with stakeholders and leadership. Manages the financials and assists with resource planning for the program. Provides input to define/improve the Change Management process for the Portfolio.

Required Skills:

  • 7-10 years of applicable experience
  • Responsible for end-to-end oversight at the program level for a specified program and projects
  • Subject Matter Expert in Enterprise Change Standards, financial management, focus on execution and overall health
  • Experience preparing for and facilitates program level routines including pre and post release planning, financials management for project/program
  • Experience partnering with program level technology leaders and architects to ensure solutions delivered align to defined strategy
  • Highly proficient in project management tools and applications including GPP or PPRT, PCM, Nexus, ECG
  • Experience collaborating across business and technology teams to identify and mitigate risk and solve program level problems

Desired Skills:

  • Previous experience within the Financial Services industry.
  • Must have experience using JIRA
