SkillStorm is seeking a Technical Analyst for our client in Jersey City, New Jersey. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.

Description:

• The Technical Analyst is responsible for working with application teams across global markets to facilitate on boarding to a new automated dependency mapping solution. Key responsibilities of this role include understanding the solution and how it relates to individual application characteristics; working with internal development teams and the vendor who provided the core product to access solution APIs and data and provide custom integration when needed. This work is primarily in Python. This role requires the ability to communicate with a wide variety of application teams running across a wide set of technology to ensure that functional relationships discovered by this automated tool are valid and correctly documented.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with internal application teams to onboard their applications onto the automated dependency mapping application
• Work with central technology teams to assist in any required customization of the automated dependency mapping tool.
• Work with the tool to understand discovered relationships and validate or work to determine the source of the errors.

• Required Skills:
• Proficiency in Python development
• Understanding of general infrastructure metadata required to associate running applications to network communications across our infrastructure.
• Ability to document and communicate with a variety of application teams utilizing a wide set of tools and technologies
• Desired Skills:
• Knowledge of agile stack environments including Jenkins, Ansible, Artifactory, etc.
• Experience in data mining – Power Query, Tableau, etc.
• Sense of urgency needed to prioritize work of teams
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs
• Test driven development
• Gherkin
• Ability to construct SQL queries
• Knowledge of Unix/Linux Shell Scripting
• Knowledge of Microsoft PowerShell
