Production / Technical Support V (Closed)

SkillStorm is seeking a Production Support Specialist for our client in Plano, Texas. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.

Job Description and Responsibilities:

• Point of contact for the Production Health of multiple Applications in the Order Entry Platform used by client Advisors, Online Clients, and Managed Products (Needs to be able to be part of a 24x7 on-call rotation)
• Work with development team to obtain Subject Matter Expert knowledge of supported applications
• Ensures documentation exists for support team members (including L2 Generalist and L1 Event Management/Service Desk Teams)
• Ensures monitoring/ready for business checks exist for all critical components and flows in the most optimal way
• Escalation point for issues/outages that cannot be resolved by lower level teams providing technical direction.
• Follow-up on root cause analysis of issues and process improvements as needed.
• Assists with reporting (up-time, opportunities, incidents, etc.) to be used by senior leadership.
• Shifts easier work to partner L2 Generalist Teams (Offshore) or identifies optimization opportunities to take on more difficult work.

Required Skills: “Must” have these skills to be minimally qualified

• 5 Years’ experience in Production Support handing critical applications in a large enterprise
• Supporting .NET, SQL applications in a load balanced environment with multiple data centers
• Experience with ITIL Methodologies/Processes (Incident, Problem, Change, etc.)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in the English language
• Forms effective partnerships to achieve results
• Capable of prioritizing multiple basic projects, tasks and deliverables
• Strong analytical and research skills
• Experience with Application Monitoring Tools
