Production Support (Closed)

SkillStorm is seeking a Production Support Specialist for our client in Jersey City, NJ. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.

Job Description:

• 5+ years as a production support experience with a proven track record of designing, delivering solutions to solve for scalability, performance and stability in large scale mission critical applications
• Experience in working in Global Markets (Equities, Derivatives, Fixed Income etc.)
• Mandatory experience in scripting e.g.: Python, Perl, Ruby or shell scripting
• Strong technical knowledge: AS 400, DB2, Unix/Linux; Database (Oracle), Perl, Shell scripting, Infrastructure, , Apache / Tomcat
• Drive production incidents and root cause investigations independently, lead the problem investigation and identify the actions to avoid repeat issues.
• Self-starter and able to independent manage projects, track actions, identify the gaps and escalate to right stakeholders.
• Strong ‘hands-on’ technical, problem solving and analytical skills with the willingness to see the investigation through to the end
• Experience in analyzing and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems

Must Be Proficient In:

• Global Markets Experience
• Geneos ITRS monitoring system
• Splunk visualization
• Setup Ansible Tower for applications and deploy
• Scripting in Shell, Python 3, Perl
