Production Support (Closed)

SkillStorm is seeking a Production Support Specialist for our client in Pennington, NJ OR Charlotte, NC OR Richardson, TX. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.

Description:

  • Individual will work in production support within Global Wealth and Investment Management line of business. Support Services include incident management (single user, branch outages, and also infrastructure triage), coordination with problem management, constant knowledge building, identification & implementation of process improvements, including but not limited to runbooks, monitoring, alerting, working with partner teams on process gaps, technology gaps, or stability concerns. Will be accountable for timely updates (including senior leadership) and restoration of all production application issues.

Expectations:

  • Provide day-to-day application support for aligned applications by reviewing pertinent logging (including platforms with limited documentation)
  • Drive for root cause analysis to application outages and provide quick service restoration (including single user and branch issues)
  • Improve application stability and reduce errors present in the environment
  • Work closely with technology infrastructure teams, development and testing teams in supporting integrated/independent releases, software/hardware upgrades, server upgrades, etc.
  • Ability to provide overnight/weekend/holiday support as needed to handle high priority issues, production recoveries, and/or monthly releases

Required Skills:

  • 1+ years of hands on experience in application support
  • Splunk, AppDynamics, and/or Dynatrace
  • Server - Windows and Unix
  • Desktop - Windows core operating system, Office suite
  • Previous experience with Remedy and JIRA
  • Able to work in a complex environment with little management oversight

Desired Skills:

  • Ability to troubleshoot network related issues using Netscout or other related tool
  • Experience supporting .NET applications (familiar with Debug Diag, etc.)
  • IIS, IBM Operational Decision Manager, IBM WebSphere, PingFed/Access/Directory, Redis, Cache coherence
  • ITIL Certification
