Production Services Lead (Closed)
SkillStorm is seeking a Production Services Lead for our client in Pennington, NJ OR Charlotte, NC OR Richmond, VA. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.
Job Summary:
Individual will work in production support within Global Wealth and Investment Management Account Opening Line of Business
Support Services include batch optimization, incident management, problem management, and weekend/holiday/Release support, triage and outage support, constant knowledge building and identification & implementation of process improvements.
 
Job Description:
- Provide day-to-day application support which includes filling in operational gaps in a Mainframe Environment and looking for optimizations
 - Provide incident management, problem research and issue resolution
 - Improve application stability and reduce errors
 - Release Support, review production changes, setup/update monitoring for changes
 - Troubleshoot application issues by reviewing pertinent logging with minimal documentation on application function and flow
 - Drive for root cause analysis to application outages and provide quick service restoration
 
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent
 - Ability to troubleshoot production issues
 - Hands on development/support with minimum of 5 years – COBOL, CICS, DB2 IDZ, Procs, IBM OS/JCL (MVS), ZOS, Testing & Debugging.
 - Experience in coding complex DB2 Stored Procedures
 - Programming experience with MQ using CICS/Cobol and Batch/Cobol
 - Strong skills in using File Manager and IBM Debug Tool
 - Knowledge of change management tools like ENDEVOR, CICS analysis
 - Can work independently and as a part of the team
 - Strong communication skills with ability to work and collaborate across global teams.
 - Strong analytical skills with ability to break down complex problems/ideas and come-up with creative solutions, leveraging the latest of the technologies, where possible
 - Domain Knowledge - Financial and Insurance
 - Must possess the ability to handle multiple production issues in-parallel and be able to work independently in addition to contributing as part of a highly collaborative and globally dispersed team.
 
Desired Skills:
- Previous experience with Remedy and JIRA.
