Production / Infrastructure Support (Closed)

SkillStorm is seeking a Network Support Specialist for our client in Jersey City, New Jersey. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.

Description:

  • The role is for a support resource who will be involved in monitoring & supporting a global markets application stack. The candidate will join a global team that provides 24x5 support and work closely with application and business stakeholders to ensure platform stability and performance.
  • Process driven with strong communication skills (verbal and written) required for technical documentation and client communications
  • Experienced in managing complex distributed application stacks with the ability to connect dots to resolve production issues quickly
  • Candidates should be a quick learner and have the ability and drive to understand in-house and third party technologies
  • Demonstrated ability to perform in a pressured environment
  • Expertise in handling overall IT Infrastructure & Scheduled maintenances
  • Good understanding of infrastructure (hardware) components and networking
  • Excellent Operational skills, troubleshooting Production issues and identifying Root Cause & Prevention
  • Technical requirements with exposure to SQL Server, Windows server management and experience of .Net stack (C# and ASP)
  • Excellent knowledge of Windows OS internals and Operational OS skills
  • Familiarity with Continuous Integration and Delivery concepts and practices will be helpful in the role
  • Familiarity with Agile Methodologies, such as Scrum and Kanban
  • Capacity Management experience - Provide analysis of Infrastructure and application capacity review to ensure a sufficient level of infrastructure capacity, availability and resiliency
  • Disaster Recovery experience - Design, document and automate Core component per Datacenter DR plans

Requirements:
