Pega Developer (Closed)

SkillStorm is seeking a Pega Developer for our client in Charlotte, NC. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.

Job Description:

  • Responsible for developing and delivering software requirements to accomplish business goals. Ensure that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements. Code solutions, unit test, and ensure solutions can be integrated successfully into the overall system. Contribute to story refinement/defining requirements. Participates and guide team in estimating work necessary to complete stories/requirements. Good in documenting technical design and architecture. Develop proof of concepts as necessary to mitigate risk and implement new ideas. Utilize multiple architectural components (across data, application, business) in design and development of client requirements. Assist team with resolving technical complexities. Help in system performance and stability improvements. Manage system administration functions including contributing to upgrades. Contributes to existing test suites (integration, regression, performance). Triage defects and identify underlying causes. Document and communicate required information for deployment, maintenance, support, and functionality.

Required Skills:

  • Should have 8 plus years relevant experience in Pega 8.x/7.x
  • Pega Certified Senior System Architect (CSSA) required .
  • Exposure to AI/ML/NLP development using Pega or other intelligent automation tool suit.
  • Experience in effective technical design and architecture documentation.
  • Experience in presenting technical solutions in front of technical teams.
  • Proven ability to transform business requirements into a working Pega BPM solution
  • Should have hands on experience PRPC lifecycle - design, development, coding, testing and debugging skills in PEGA 8.x.
  • Experience in Pega PRPC -Process Flows, Activities, Harness, Sections, Decision Table, Data transforms, Agent and Reporting.
  • Knowledgeable in Estimation, Performance Tuning and Deployment process.
  • Experience in adopting Pega applications with CICD tools.
  • Preferred to have experience with distributed teams which span multiple geographies, time zones and cultures.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for development and design using the Pega PRPC or PEGA packaged solutions.
  • Technical design for the Pega implementation based on the Business requirements. Integrate Pega applications with external APIs, web services, and legacy data sources
  • Documenting and presenting the design
  • Rule set management and governance to ensure the rule sets are developed appropriately in the respective layers to align with 'enterprise's re-usability' needs
  • Perform code reviews and ensure the solution is compliance with Pega guardrails.
  • Follow rule set versioning strategy, branching strategy, release management and deployment processes.
  • Provide sizing and estimations.
  • Work with the administration and development teams to ensure that designs solutions effectively accommodate long-term maintainability, supportability and scalability.
  • Perform code deployments.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with Jira, Jenkins, BIX, Oracle DB development, REST API
  • Financial services industry experience for client lifecycle management
  • Ability to mentor new team members
