Oracle / SQL Developer (Closed)

SkillStorm is seeking an Oracle / SQL Developer for our client in Newark, DE. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.

Description:

• 10 + years. Develops, enhances, tests, supports, maintains and debugs software applications that support business units or support functions. A senior member of the technical team responsible for assisting senior business leaders and management. May provide strategic technical direction and system architecture for individual initiatives. Utilizes in-depth knowledge of technological alternatives and business system requirements to recommend innovations that enhance and/or provide a competitive advantage to the organization. Leads or has responsibility for estimation of effort for software application for one or more programmers. Coordinates collaboration with external programming teams to deliver software on time and within budget. Provides feedback and technical guidance to project managers on issues of critical importance to achieving business objectives. Is clearly recognized as a content expert by peers
• We need candidate who Develops, enhances, debugs, supports, maintains and tests software applications that support business units or supporting functions. These application program solutions may involve diverse development platforms, software, hardware, technologies and tools. Participates in the design, development and implementation of complex applications, often using new technologies. May provide technical direction and system architecture for individual initiatives. Serves as a fully seasoned/proficient technical resource. Will not have direct reports but may lead projects and direct activities of a team related to special initiatives or operations. May have responsibility for a project. May collaborate with external programmers to coordinate delivery of software application. Routine accountability is for technical knowledge and capabilities. Works under minimal supervision, with general guidance from more seasoned consultants.

Skills:

• Knowledge of object-oriented design and architecture / SOLID
• Detail-oriented, with the ability to check your work and document your processes on a fixed schedule.
• Working knowledge of Oracle 12c/19c/21c added capabilities and functionality
• 10+ years working with PL/SQL
• 8 + years of SQL and SQL Tuning experience
• Strong programming/development skills using PL/SQL (package, procedures, functions, triggers) and batch coding skills such as Bulk collections, dynamic SQL, and parallel processing.
• Experience working with source control
• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose problems quickly and communicate proposed solutions
• Knowledge and experience with Performance tuning
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Working knowledge of Oracle 12c/19c/21c Unix/python
• Should be good in advance plsql/tuning/UTL feature/ Developer Tools(toad)
• Developing PL/SQL Packages, Procedures Functions, Cursors and Triggers.
• Proficient in performance tuning (PL/SQL) using SQL Trace, Explain Plan, Indexing and Hints.
• Designing and executing test plans and performing gap analysis to ensure that business requirements and functional specifications are tested and fulfilled
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Excellent written/verbal communication skills
• Python is desired skill
