Oracle / SQL Developer (Closed)

SkillStorm is seeking an Oracle / SQL Developer for our client in Jersey City, NJ. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.

Job Description:

• Responsible for team level contributions to overall application development efforts within portfolio application(s); These application program solutions may involve diverse development platforms, software, hardware, technologies and tools. Provides technical direction and oversight on creation of applications from E2E (end to end) perspective. Ensuring systems design, business requirements, and architecture of solution is well understood by involved parties and responsible for overall delivery of software products. Will not have direct reports but may direct activities of a team related to special initiatives or operations. Individual will be working closely with the Dev team to build a process (using Python and an OCR/NLP vendor tool) which will interact with other bank tools. Out of box thinking, unit and performance testing, job scheduling, data extraction/analysis and understanding of important algorithms for performance enhancement are some key required skills in an ideal candidate.

Required Skills:

• Education: B.E./ B. Tech/M.E./M. Tech/BSC/MSC/BCA/MCA (prefer IT/CS specialization)
• Certifications If Any:
• Experience Range 8-10 years
• 8+ years’ experience with programming/development
• Job requires interactions with onsite leadership/developer and strong technical background.
• Coordinate and guide DEV team members
• 2+ years’ experience with Python development
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Experience working with OCR and NLP tools is a plus
• 2+ years Data Analysis and interaction/capturing data from several source systems
• Experience using OCR and NLP technologies
• Experience developing in Agile Project methodology
• Good knowledge in Dev-Ops tools like Jenkins, Artifactory, GitHub, etc.
• Compliance / Operational Risk experience
• Experience with using BitBucket and Autosys is a plus
• Prior experience of shell scripting and Unix/Linus is a plus

Desired Skills:

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
• Experience in data analysis, data mapping techniques.
• Strong background in database development
• Experience in Compliance/Independent Testing area will be an added plus
• A proactive approach to problem solving and think innovatively
• 2+ years’ experience with Python development
• Hands on experience in developing solutions for Automating processes
• Prior experience in working with OCR/NLP tools
• Good knowledge in Dev-Ops tools like Jenkins, Artifactory, GitHub, etc
• Experience in dealing with high volume data migrations
