Network / System Engineer V (Closed)

SkillStorm is seeking a Windows / IIS Engineer for our client in Pennington/Hopewell, New Jersey, OR Charlotte, North Carolina, OR Jersey City, New Jersey. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.

Description:

• System Design – The process of defining and documenting the hardware, software, infrastructure components, modules, interfaces, scalability, and high availability solutions that meet specified business development & Application Integration requirements.
• Server Full Build - Installing and configuring all the requirements to build any servers including drivers, vendor software and home grown code
• This is to provide 3rd Level Support - Incident troubleshooting, analysis and resolution for web applications
• Day–to-day administration includes installation, testing, tuning, upgrading and loading patches, troubleshooting server problems.
• Installation of home grown and vendor software, documenting the steps and promoting to upstream teams for deployment. Supporting issues with deployments in the upstream environments.
• This position demands the person to be absolutely hands on.

Required Skills:

• Windows/IIS Engineer to provide the following:
• Candidate must have 5+ year experience in Windows 2012,2016 and 2019, IIS and Dot Net application integration.
• Candidate should have strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, WINS, Firewall, Local and Global load balancing expertise in application integration.
• Candidate should have experience with CD tools like Ansible Tower, Jenkins, etc and DEV OPS
• Candidate should be able to troubleshoot application integration issues in Windows & cross platform environment.
• Candidate should have expertise in analyzing IIS logs
• Must have ability to troubleshoot .net based web application integration issues in Windows environment.

Desired Skills:

• Candidates with hands on experience with F5 devices like Global Traffic Manager and Local Traffic Manager are preferred
• Any Powershell or VB scripting knowledge is an added advantage
• Any experience migrating applications from lower version of dot net and IIS to a higher version is a good to have
• Experience with tools like Autosys, Splunk, Wireshark, WinSCP, OpenSSH & Repliweb or similar is an added advantage
• Hands on experience with software distribution tools like CA Software Delivery, Microsoft SCCM, etc is an added advantage
