Network / System Engineer IV (Closed)

SkillStorm is seeking a Red Hat Linux / AIX Engineer for our client in Charlotte, North Carolina OR Richardson, Texas. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.

Description:

• Senior level experience Primarily with Redhat Linux
• Experience with IBM AIX OS is a plus
• Platform engineering for Redhat which includes but not limited to setting up Redhat repository, Satellite server , testing core tools with Linux
• Provide Operating System technical and break/fix level support
• Shell scripting and automation skills
• Expertise in PowerHA, RHEL6 and 7, Redhat Clustering, VMware Technology
• Proficient in performing OS administration tasks on RHEL 6+ running on ESX virtualized servers
• In depth Linux knowledge required, including LVM, clustering and SAN multipathing.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and adapt to a constantly changing environment
• Ability to debug and troubleshoot network, performance and software issues
• Knowledge of SAN based disk solutions and their configurations
• Familiarity with tools like BladeLogic, DNT, ESM, vsphere client is a huge plus
• Ability to work independently but also must be strong in team partnership
• Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organization skills
• Exposure to SAP product suite is a plus
• 10+ years of systems engineering experience
