Network / System Engineer IV (Closed)

SkillStorm is seeking a Dev-Ops / Infrastructure Engineer for our client in Charlotte, North Carolina. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.

Position Summary:

• Seeking Dev-Ops / Infrastructure Engineer with extensive experience implementing full stack CI/CD pipelining to build, deploy, and support our on premise global cloud services and systems. Build enhanced automation to streamline OS install and QA processes; build and maintain tools to facilitate release, infrastructure, and performance/capacity management.

Responsibilities:

• Implement CI/CD automated Windows server build and QA
• Partner with Platform Dev & release teams to implement best practices for versioning, error detection, and release management
• Develop automated benchmarking process for all build changes
• Work with a creative engineering team to continuously implement and improve reliable and speedy build environments
• Improve operational efficiency through automation and deployment or development of new tools
• Experiment with and recommend new technologies that simplify or improve existing systems & processes.
• Craft solid and clearly explained designs, playbooks, and documentation, for consumption by teammates and the larger engineering organization

Experience Required:

• At least 3 years of experience with automated build tools and applications such as Ansible, AWX / Tower, Jenkins, XL Release, PowerShell, & Artifactory
• Have previously implemented a CI/CD pipeline to build and deploy Windows, Linux, and VMWare platforms
• Have working knowledge of interfacing with various forms of API & micro-services. Ideally, direct experience working with Artifactory JFrog, AWX / Tower, & Foreman / Satellite APIs.
• Build logging, monitoring, and alerting systems to identify bottlenecks and assist with debugging, analysis, and optimization
