Network / Operational Support Specialist (Closed)

SkillStorm is seeking a Network / Operational Support Specialist for our client in New York, New York. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.

Description:

  • The contractor will support the Digital Signage activity for One Bryant Park, specifically the GBAM Digital Wall at OBP 3rd, 4th and 5th trading floors.
  • The Role location required is New York; it is critical to effectiveness of getting things done, the transfer of information from other team members, and nearness to the physical location at One Bryant Park where we have significant projects on-going.

Other work in scope for our contractor resources:

  • Digital Signage support for Production and lower level environments
  • Management of tasks related to AIT deliverables for the teams supported platforms and applications
  • Teamwork related projects and JIRA items
  • Provide Engineering and Operational support

Required Skills:

  • Intermediate working knowledge of basic networking principles and protocols such as TCP/IP, Telnet, FTP, SSH, HTTP, HTTPS, SSL.
  • Must have the ability to create detailed technical documentation for Operational Playbooks;
  • Author procedures, reference guides and other documentation for handoff to other teams.
  • Competent working knowledge of leading industry disruptive technologies related to Voice, Video, and Collaboration tools
  • Competent working knowledge of networking and protocols, Active Directory, MS Exchange
  • Oversee risk, audit, and compliance items in the space, drive solutions, and monitor to closure
  • Communication Skills; Ability to describe issues, escalate, and articulate impact to affected users and leadership as needed
  • Strong analytic al skills and attention to detail
  • Experience with server based infrastructure (SQL, Active Directory, Exchange, IIS)
  • Ability to follow Client standards and guidelines for application setup and maintenance
  • Understanding of access controls, role based access and restrictions

Desired Skills:

  • Practical knowledge and experience with delivery of Audio Video based solutions E.g. Cisco TelePresence, Crestron, Biamp
  • In-depth knowledge of audio, video and networking protocols such as TCP/IP, SSH, SSL, SNMP, H.323, SIP, RTV/RTP, AVC/SVC, H.264/265, H.239, Dante, AES 67
  • Knowledge and experience with digital signage solutions (i.e. Four Winds, Appspace)
  • Ability to independently plan, organize and prioritize work.
