Network Engineer (Closed)

SkillStorm is seeking a Network Engineer for our client in Jersey City, NJ. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.

Job Description:

• This is a high-profile role working in a fast paced Global Markets environment requiring individual with flexibility, acumen and the ability to assimilate, organize and present information quickly for senior technology executives. This is a critical role requiring a highly motivated and dedicated individual who can provide procedural and technical support to the Global Markets Technology teams. This role will also partner with leaders in Software Engineering, Global Information Security (GIS), Core Technology Infrastructure (CTI) Engineering, and Application Production Services (APS) roles to define objective reliability goals for the services they support. The individuals in this role will spend a considerable portion of their time utilizing their engineering skills to help with triage of major events and programs impacting Global Markets platforms to drive improvements in the reliability and efficiency of applications and their underlying hosting infrastructure platforms. The individual will also focus on driving efficiency by promoting collaboration and continuous improvements through standard and scalable application and/or infrastructure playbooks to be leveraged.

• Database: SQL/PLSQL, Oracle
• Monitoring: Splunk, ITRS
