Network Engineer (Closed)

SkillStorm is seeking a Network Engineer for our client in Charlotte, NC OR Dallas, TX OR Frisco, TX OR Irving, TX OR Plano, TX. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.

Job Description:

• This resource will work with the Server & Storage Provisioning - Fulfillment team on the following tasks:
• Responsible for provisioning servers
• Racking/Stacking and Server/Storage configurations
• Procurement of Network and server hardware
• Coordination with local site support & vendor to upgrade servers peripheral
• Work on Provisioning tools (EBMP/BMP-PROD)
• Physical Server validation
• Knowledge of procurement tool like ARIBA etc
• Equipment Placement
• IMACs for unrack / rack, hardware installation, cabling requests
• Possibility of Weekend shift Friday night/Saturday night (10pm et – 7am ET)
• will need to work some Sundays
• Network Request Forms

Primary Skill:

• MS Windows Server

Required Skills:

• Networking Essentials and Server Hardware
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Pro-active work ethic with the ability to work independently as well as with guidance 
• well organized
• willingness to work some Sundays

Desired Skills:

• Knowledge of BMC ITSM Remedy
• Knowledge of HP & DELL server configurations
• Hands on experience in Windows System Administration with expertise on MS Windows 2008&2012.
• Hands on experience in Linux System Administration with expertise on RHEL?
