SkillStorm is seeking a .NET Developer for our client in Jacksonville, FL OR Addison, TX OR Newark, DE OR Charlotte, NC. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.

Job Description:

• .NET Core Lead Developer with solution architecture experience.
• .Looking for a lead developer with architecture solution design skills looking to convert a large legacy application to modern standards and testable design. Seeking programmers with strong analytical and design skills, a commitment to design principles and automated unit/integration testing, who are highly productive in a fast paced environment. Application has large amounts of custom business logic so there is a strong percentage of work required in the service tier.

Responsibilities:

• Works independently to develop complex .NET software components using C# with specific focus on ASP.NET CORE RESTful Web API and Angular 10+ webpages
• Consults with central team architects and product owners to design software solutions.
• Breaks down stories into technical tasks and works with the onshore and offshore developers to deliver code
• Writes SOLID testable code
• Develops unit and integration tests for automated code coverage of components developed
• Runs explain plans to ensure SQL query optimization
• Performs manual unit testing when automation is not available
• Analyzes legacy code in VB6 and C++
• Presents all code changes for code reviews and resolves all findings prior to user acceptance testing
• Participates in and contributes to Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, story grooming sessions, sprint demonstrations and retrospectives (meetings start at 8:30 ET to accommodate both US and India participants)

Skill Set:

• Lead developer and architecture software design skills a must
• 8+ years .NET development experience required
• 3+ years Agile experience required (Scaled Agile certification preferred)
• Required experience: C#, ASP.NET Core Web API, Angular 10+, TypeScript, LINQ, use of ORM, stored procedure development in Oracle (or other RDBMS)
• Preferred experience: Both Kestrel and IIS experience, HTTP/2 Web API, WebAPI 2.0 REST Services, IOC Containers, MOQ Frameworks, Test Driven Development, IBM MQ, TypeWriter, Splunk
• Proficiency in work tracking tools (Jira, CA Agile / Rally)
• Ability to work on multiple deliverables simultaneously, adhere to tight deadlines and adapt to changing priorities
• Experience working on large scale enterprise systems
• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
• Experience working with virtual teams (e.g. onshore/offshore model) is a plus
