SkillStorm is seeking a .NET Developer for our client in Newark, DE OR Charlotte, NC OR Addison, TX. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.

Job Description:

  • Design and develop web-based applications for the Benefits Online platform using .Net4.5 framework, MVC 4, C# programming language, ASPX(Active Server Pages for .Net), ASP 3.0, XML(Extended Meta Language), HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, AJAX. Design and implement integrated framework-based web-services (version 4.0) based on SOAP, JSON and REST. Design and implement a fully scalable architecture for 5 different sites that fall under this platform using Provider based architecture from Microsoft integrated along with Merrill Lynch’s custom in-house frameworks. Constantly improve and upgrade existing applications built on out dated technology. Interact with various technology, business and product teams during the life-cycle of projects to discuss production support-related issues. Provide production support of all applications on Benefits Online platform, including applications for 401K, Non-Qualified plans, Defined Benefits, (ESPP) Employee Stock Purchase Plan, ExSOP (Executive Stock Option Plans) and Content Management application. Construct SQLs on Oracle database for all applications on the platform that can be used with web-services and for debugging issues reported in production. This position requires the candidate to understand the system requirements and translate them into low-level design and implement the application code as per the standard coding pattern and guidelines. The candidate is also required to unit test the code and package the code for deployment to higher lanes all upto Production environment. The candidate will be responsible to work with quality assurance and product certification teams to provide support and fixes identified during the lifecycle of application testing and certification.

Required Skills:

  • Working knowledge and experience of Microsoft.Net Framework 4.5 or higher with proficiency in .Net Core, C#, and WCF services. Strong understanding of the structure and logic of Object-Oriented programming.
  • Expertise in web technologies including ASP.Net, .Net MVC, client-side technologies including HTML, CSS, Javascript, JQuery, Bootstrap.
  • Knowledge of Oracle and T-SQL.
  • Experience in financial domain.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills
  • Self motivated and demonstrates a willingness to accept additional responsibilities and projects.

Desired Skills:

  • Working knowledge on AngularJS, HandleBar.
  • Experience in financial domain is desirable.
  • Knowledge/ experience in CI/CD.
  • Knowledge/ experience on web accessibility (ADA) standards, implementation, validation and support.
