MuleSoft Architect (Closed)

SkillStorm is seeking a MuleSoft Architect for our client in Jersey City, NJ. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.

Job Description:

  • MuleSoft Architect's primary role is to work with Dev partners on various Proof of Concepts from simple flows to complex transformations, batch processing and streaming. Architect is expected to prove whether or not a certain requirement can be implemented via Mule in an efficient manner and present any pros and cons. Be able to provide ongoing support to Dev team with challenges related to Mule 4.x. Architect position will be working with the CoE team as well to come up with solutions to containerize APIs and develop microservices and setup guidance and framework for all development teams to follow

Additional Responsibilities May Include, But Not Limited To:

  • Review existing API work from development teams and suggest improvements and efficiencies
  • Setup any Mule development standards for all mule developers from Dev teams to follow
  • Showcase Mule capabilities via actual development, i.e. bulk processing, streaming, microservices in Mule, etc.
  • Ability to help teams transition from Mule 3 to Mule 4 and be able to provide impacts and time to address the impacts
  • Design RAML specs for developers to build their own implementations
  • Guide on implementing secure APIs, including any encryption implementations for data in transit
  • Ability to review the high level requirements and ask relevant questions in order to provide a potential solution and approach with pros and cons
  • Arrange and drive the Mule learning sessions to increase awareness, knowledge and adoption

Required Skills

  • Minimum 5 years of experience working as Mule Architect
  • 3+ years of Design and Development experience with Mule 4.x
  • Must have development experience implementing flows using Oracle, Hadoop, SQL, Kafka, .NET connectors etc.
  • Must have experience in secure API development
  • Understanding of MuleSoft Development best practices with respect to using fragments, templates, logging and error handling frameworks, common data-model design/ validation, property value encryption, considerations when using Object Store, scheduled jobs, duplicate data detection/handling
  • Experience with SQL programming language including writing stored procedures and SQL queries
  • Must have good verbal, written communication and presentation skills
  • Understands concept of session management
  • Has designed and developed APIs that can run on Load Balanced environment with failover strategy
