Mobility Engineer (Closed)

SkillStorm is seeking a Mobility Engineer for our client in Charlotte, NC, Jersey City, NJ, OR Newark, DE. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.

Job Description:

  • The New hire must have the ability to communicate effectively and possess an outstanding client support attitude and acumen.
  • Ability to read a client and adjust their approach will be critical in this effort.
  • They must have a 5+ years’ experience with Enterprise mobility related technologies, experience with Enterprise Windows servers in a Global environment and experience with Infrastructure operational work related to supporting UEM and Good Technology servers.
  • They must have the ability to work in a collaborative environment via Skype, WebEx, other teams, understand of how mobile devices work specifically iOS and Android with an intricate knowledge with operating systems and how they are managed in an enterprise environment.

Required Skills:

  • They need to have an extensive knowledge from a mobility BB UEM environment both on the front end and infrastructure including SQL servers on a Global scale.
  • The techs will be responsible to evaluate and install software (API files) on Mobility designated Servers and at times devices across the environment.
  • They will be performing a high-level systems support that will also include routine updates and patching of the environment.
  • Part of their responsibilities will be to troubleshoot and evaluate reported failures on specific devices and remediate directly on the device or from the backend infrastructure side.
  • They will be responsible for Capacity planning, applying security measures on the backend infrastructure while having the ability to fail over from a production (Primary) environment to a Backup (Secondary) environment. conduct routine testing.
  • They need to have the ability to investigate and analyze systems logs both directly from the device and the backend infrastructure side, work with vendors such as Blackberry to analyze and determine root cause.
  • They will be available to answer users questions about application downloads, activations, and best practices.
  • They should be able to work as a team member with other technical teams such as Networking, GIS, Server team, etc. to analyze data, Network diagrams, to determine system failure or root cause during outages.
  • They need to possess an Extensive knowledge with iOS and Android Mobility Operating systems, Network protocols and configurations across a n Enterprise environment.
  • They'll also be available for immediate troubleshooting issues with Domain Ops and escalation from the Service Desk and executive support teams.
  • Be able to assist with the setup of new accounts & devices, stage and provide support for mobile apps for different LOB, conduct required surveys, reporting, etc.

Desired Skills:

  • Strong analytical skills/problem solving/conceptual thinking.
  • Splunk knowledge to discover and analyze leveraging the information for troubleshooting, PowerShell scripting.
  • Assist with internal efficiencies projects and development, Splunk knowledge to discover and analyze leveraging the information for troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Blackberry UEM management.
  • Proven team player who can work comfortably in a multicultural environment.
