Mobile Developer (Closed)

SkillStorm is actively seeking a Mobile Developer for our client. This position is REMOTE, however candidates in EST are preferred.

Details on our client: A fun-loving, high-performing organization focused on changing the waste industry through technology. The products they design, build and release help customers gain insight and control into their sustainability practices. The products focus on data analytics about waste management, recycling streams, and sustainability from waste generated. 

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high quality E2E features using TypeScript with React Native
• Write automated unit and integration tests
• Debug issues in Production and respond to them quickly to mitigate customer impact
• Approach difficult problems with an open mind, helping to build features that meet complex technical, security, and standards requirements
• Serve as a mentor for junior team members
• Work closely with Product Management
• Design, implementation, and testing of both client-side and server-side code
• Building responsive mobile experiences that look great across multiple devices and browsers
• Investigating and prototyping new technologies and frameworks  
• Perform code reviews and debug code
• Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to fix and improve products
• Deliver talks to engineering and general audiences on technical topics

Requirements:

• Very strong coding and development skills with experience in at least one of the following languages: TypeScript
• Proficiency in advanced data structures and algorithms
• Track record of delivering products, features and functionality on time with extremely high quality
• Ability to work closely with team members to collaborate on innovative solutions
• Ability to perform debugging across multiple components and internal services
• Ability to quickly ramp up on new technology areas
• Practical knowledge of relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g. MongoDB)
• Analytical mind with problem-solving aptitude
• Ability to work independently
• Excellent communications and leadership skills
• BSc/BA in Computer Science or a related degree, or sufficient certifications from accredited institutions to demonstrate reasonable equivalent knowledge

Work Environment

Office Location will be Remote:

• You must generally be available to work collaboratively, in real time, between 8am Pacific Time and 5pm Eastern Time
• You will be reasonably on-call after hours, for your own products - the less they break, the less you’re called.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's Degree preferred or comparable work experience
