Mainframe Developer (Closed)

SkillStorm is seeking a Mainframe Developer for our client in Jersey City, NJ. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.

Job Description:

• Responsible for analysis, programming and implementation of changes in diverse mainframe based applications. Ability to unit test and integration test all the changes effectively. Ability to collaborate with other programmers. Works under minimal supervision, with general guidance from subject matter expert.

Minimum Technical Requirements Are:

• Programming experience with COBOL LE, DB2, JCL, CICS, VSAM, and Online/Batch programming.
• Programming experience with MQ using CICS/Cobol and Batch/Cobol.
• Strong background on IBM MQ / IBM WBE
• Experience with DB2 Stored Procedure a Plus
• Strong skills in using File Manager and IBM Debug Tool.
• Knowledge to use change management tool like ENDEVOR is desirable.
• Knowledge to use CICS analysis and performance tool like TMON is desirable.
• Knowledge to use DB2 performance tool like BMC MAINVIEW is desirable.

Soft Skills Required Are:

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Experience in the Financial Sector is desirable but not essential.
