Mainframe Developer (Closed)

SkillStorm is seeking a Mainframe Developer for our client in Jersey City, NJ. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.

Job Description:

• Responsible for analysis, programming, and implementation of changes in diverse mainframe-based applications.
• Ability to unit test and integration test all the changes effectively.
• Ability to collaborate with other programmers.
• Works under minimal supervision, with general guidance from subject matter expert.

Minimum Technical Requirements Are:

• Programming experience with COBOL LE, DB2, JCL, CICS, VSAM, and Online/Batch programming.
• Programming experience with MQ using CICS/Cobol and Batch/Cobol.
• Strong background on IBM MQ / IBM WBE
• Experience with DB2 Stored Procedure a Plus
• Strong skills in using File Manager and IBM Debug Tool.
• Knowledge to use change management tool like ENDEVOR is desirable.
• Knowledge to use CICS analysis and performance tool like TMON is desirable.
• Knowledge to use DB2 performance tool like BMC MAINVIEW is desirable.

Soft Skills Required Are:

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Experience in the Financial Sector is desirable
