We partner with Fortune 100 companies and U.S. government agencies to deliver skilled software talent, and you could be part of that pipeline. You’ll begin with 12 weeks of paid, hands-on training, working on team-based projects that mirror real client work. When training wraps, you deploy directly to an enterprise or government client. There’s no tuition and no cost to you. This is a salaried position from your first day, with a defined path from trainee to client-ready engineer.

We’re looking for people at the start of their technical careers, including recent graduates and career changers with a technical background, who have solid fundamentals and want a structured way into enterprise software.

What you’ll need:

  • A bachelor’s degree
  • 2–3 years of W2 work experience, ideally in a technical role
  • A working knowledge of programming fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, databases and SQL, and software development in an object-oriented language like Java or C#
  • The ability to obtain a U.S. government security clearance
  • Availability to work in office in Ashburn, VA
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. as a SkillStorm W2 employee (C2C arrangements are not available)

You’ll stand out if you bring:

  • Strong problem-solving and logical reasoning skills
  • Clear written and verbal communication with teammates and stakeholders

Your work on client assignment:

  • Develop and improve applications using your client’s languages, frameworks, and tools
  • Write clean, efficient, maintainable code that meets professional standards
  • Troubleshoot and resolve defects, and provide technical support
  • Take part in code reviews, offering and receiving constructive feedback
  • Work with stakeholders to turn business requirements into technical specifications
  • Support testing and production deployments, and keep technical documentation current
  • Stay sharp on industry tools and practices through ongoing training

What SkillStorm offers:

  • Competitive salary from day one, with no out-of-pocket training costs
  • Enterprise-grade technology training and certifications
  • Assignments with Fortune 100 companies and government agencies
  • Health, dental, vision, and life insurance, plus a 401(k)
  • Ongoing mentorship and support through training and placement
