Jira Developer (Closed)

SkillStorm is seeking a Jira Developer for our client in Pennington, NJ. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.

Job Description:

• Enterprise Architecture & Engineering (EAE) is a growing department within the Global Technology division at Client that is responsible for:

• This role is responsible for leading efforts to develop and deliver data solutions to accomplish technology and business goals. Key responsibilities include code design and delivery tasks associated with the integration, cleaning, transformation and control of data in operational and analytics data systems. They work with stakeholders, Product Owners and Software Engineers to aid in the implementation of data requirements, analyze performance, conduct research and troubleshoot any issues. These individuals are proficient in data engineering practices, and have extensive experience of using design and architectural patterns.

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent
• 5+ years’ experience as JIRA Administrator/Developer
• 5+ Development experience in Java/Groovy or ability to learn Python
• In-depth knowledge of Jira
• Demonstrable experience customizing JIRA projects with various issue types, schemas, complex workflows, screen schemes, permission schemes, and notification schemes
• Demonstrable experience writing automation scripts preferably in Groovy/Python
• Ability to write advanced JQL (Jira Query Language)
• Ability to construct custom dashboards and advanced Filters
• Ability to write custom plugins for Jira
• Experience in performing Atlassian installations, migrations, and plugin installation
• Maintaining highly customized code across versions and instances of JIRA
• Experience integrating Jira with other tools like Bitbucket, Confluence, Jenkins etc.
• Demonstrated experience in installing, configuring, troubleshooting on Jira Linux servers
• Demonstrated experience working with API’s
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Strong work ethic with good time management skills & team collaboration

Desired Skills:

• Experience practicing Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery end to end using Atlassian tools and/or Jenkins, Ansible Tower, Artifactory
• Experience developing Jira extensions using SIL
• Experience developing Jira extensions and behaviors using Script Runner
• Experience developing application/scripts in Python
• Experience working with Oracle Databases
• Experience in a high availability, high performance, multi-data center/cloud platform
• Experience working in an Agile environment and team structure
