Java / Python Developer (Closed)

SkillStorm is seeking a Java Developer for our client in Jersey City, NJ Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.

Job Description:

• Application Programmer Level V w/ 5+ yrs experience.
• Java required and Python preferred.
• This position will help design, develop, and test components of a real-time counterparty credit risk limit checking application.
• Understanding of derivatives and financial products and experience with trading applications preferred.
• Good communication skills required as will work closely with project managers, software developers, business users and management across the Credit Risk technology and business organizations.

Must Have Skills:

• Minimum 5 years software development experience
• Minimum 3-year experience in Java
• Minimum 2-year experience in Python (preferred)
• Excellent object-oriented design & development skills
• Solid experience with test-driven development

Preferred:

• Strong quantitative/mathematical ability
• Understanding of derivatives and financial products
