Java / Middleware Developer (Closed)

SkillStorm is seeking a Java / Middleware Developer for our client in Pennington, New Jersey. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.

Required Skills:

• Working knowledge of JAVA along with middleware and web application skills
• Good understanding of both Linux and Windows platforms
• Basic understanding of web server and application servers
• Basic understanding of good Object Oriented and program development skills with the ability to write simple and program code that is easy to follow.
• Looking for a team players and ability to work well with others
• Basic understanding of Agile principles and practices

Desired Skills:

• Relational Database experience - DB2
• Experience working with ARM, Remedy-ITSM, Nexus, SharePoint
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with Linux and Scripting
• Mainframe knowledge is also helpful
• Continuous Integration and deployment using any of the following tools is helpful:
  • Bit Bucket
  • Jenkins
  • JFrog Java Factory
  • Maven
  • Git
  • Working knowledge of Websphere or Tomcat is helpful

Position Summary:

• Java middleware developer
• A Lead Java developer with some background in content management. Ability to take on Administration tasks and lead in design and development of midsize software projects. Looking for Self Starter and self-motivated individual. This person should have some knowledge in relational database and experience with SQL queries. This person should have a working understanding of Web services and application servers.
• Typically requires 5-7 years of IT experience
