Java Developer (Closed)

SkillStorm is seeking a Java Developer for our client in Charlotte, NC. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.

Job Description:

• 10 + years. Develops, enhances, tests, supports, maintains and debugs software applications that support business units or support functions. A senior member of the technical team responsible for assisting senior business leaders and management. May provide strategic technical direction and system architecture for individual initiatives. Utilizes in-depth knowledge of technological alternatives and business system requirements to recommend innovations that enhance and/or provide a competitive advantage to the organization. Leads or has responsibility for estimation of effort for software application for one or more programmers. Coordinates collaboration with external programming teams to deliver software on time and within budget. Provides feedback and technical guidance to project managers on issues of critical importance to achieving business objectives. Is clearly recognized as a content expert by peers
• This role involves working with scrum teams and stake holders to oversee the code releases in the bank. As a developer he/she will apply industry accepted coding practices for improving code quality of applications as per the Design Document and helping in implementing them in production environment. Also responsible to analyze and design solutions
• Strong application development experience using frameworks like Spring & Hibernate
• Strong experience in Object Oriented design and development
• UI: HTML/JavaScript/CSS, JQuery, Handlebars, Node/NPM
• Testing: Junit, Mockito, Jasmine
• Platform tools: SVN, BitBucket, Jira, Jenkins, Git, SonarQube, JFrog Artifactory, Splunk, Apache Tomcat, Autosys
• Persistence: Oracle, Caching
• Other: Agile Scrum & Scaled Agile, Packaging and deploying services via WAR files, Integration with downstream systems via RESTful and SOAP interfaces, Experience working with large code bases and collaborating with other team members, Experience troubleshooting system wide issues, Experience using Eclipse & VS Code IDEs
