Java Developer (Closed)

SkillStorm is seeking a Java Developer for our client in Charlotte, NC. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.

Job Description:

• Responsible for architecting, designing, developing and delivering Java based technology solutions. Ensures the systems design and requirements are aligned to achieve the desired business outcomes, and that team practices and coding/quality principles are aligned to achieve the desired technology outcomes. Significant experience through multiple software implementations and has developed both depth and breadth in a number of technical competencies. Applies enterprise standards for solution design, coding and quality. Ensures solution meets product acceptance criteria with minimal technical debt. Responsible for compliance and security items and audit support at the team level. Works with Product Owner & Feature Lead to ensure that the software delivery is adhering to story description and acceptance criteria. Individual contributor.

Required Skills:

• 6-8 years of experience in building and integrating large Java applications.
• In depth knowledge of user interface development t tech stack and frameworks such as Angular, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, NodeJS
• Strong skills in design and developing RESTful APIs and Micro Service.
• Experience with industry standard frameworks like Spring, Angular, etc.
• Experience in database design and development.
• Skilled in using tools such as JIRA, GIT, BitBucket, Maven, Jenkins, Ansible, Postman, Swagger etc.
• Experience working with RDBMS (Oracle, MS SQL, MySQL etc.)
• Strong analytical skills to solve problems, perform research and derive solution opportunities independently.
• Strong communications skill.
• Experience in Agile development methodologies and deep understanding of all agile ceremonies (Sprint, Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective).

Desired Skills:

• Knowledge of cloud and container based deployments
• Willingness to learn new technologies and ability of broaden skillset by self-learning
• Understanding of bank’s change process and MRA2 guidelines
• Understanding of Logging & Monitoring frameworks
