Java Developer (Closed)

SkillStorm is seeking a Java Developer for our client in Charlotte, NC. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.

Job Description:

• Successful applicant is responsible for leading the development and delivery of applications in the Employee Experience Technology. Responsible for designing, coding, reviewing and testing the applications with minimal guidance. Experience with Agile methodologies and Jira framework. Effectively communicates with managers, peers and business partners on deliverables, time lines and support needed from them. Typically 8 plus years of application development experience using Java/J2EE.
• This team member will be tasked to lead and develop Java based applications in the Employee Experience Portfolio. This individual will be responsible for the timely delivery and excellent quality of the applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• 8+ years of experience in design and development of large scale applications.
• Analyze, design, develop, and test Java based applications using API integration services.
• Strong development experience in Java/J2EE, Spring, Hibernate, SQL Server, MySQL.
• Proficient experience in developing web pages using HTML5, CSS3, JS frameworks like Angular, React, or Knockout
• Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX
• Experience with onboarding to Access provisioning systems, CI (Continuous Integration) and CD (Continuous Deployment) platforms.
• Proficiency in SQL queries and stored procedures.
• Familiarity with SEO principles
• Familiarity with Bank of America Enterprise Change Standards, Policy and Tools.
• Strong interpersonal skills with excellent communication.

Desired Skills:

• BS/MS or related degree in Computer Science or Engineering
• Expertise in full stack development. 
• Experience with test-driven development
