Java Developer (Closed)

SkillStorm is seeking a Java Developer for our client in New York, NY. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.

Job Description:

• Strong Java developer, to work on Equities Electronic Trading Tools or Order Manager build out. Role requires the person to do hands on development with knowledge of FIX protocol and Equities trading.
• Java Developer role if the Electronic Trading Control team which is part of Electronic Trading Technology.
• Role requires the following skills and knowledge:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
• 5+ years of Java development (core Java concepts, multi-threading, concurrency, collections, algorithms)
• Front end development experience using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, React
• Ability to design, code, document and test reusable components, frameworks and systems
• Knowledge of Linux operating system and networking
• Database experience (knowledge of RMDS like Oracle or MySQL)
• Experience with SDLC process and agile development practices (JIRA, Jenkins, Confluence, git)
