Java / Android Developer (Closed)

SkillStorm is seeking a Java / Android Developer for our client in Charlotte, North Carolina. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.

Senior Developer with Following Strengths and Capabilities:

• Minimum 10+ years of hands on Programming/Application development experience with Android and Java eco system and associate tooling (Core, EE, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Cloud)
• Deep experience in Application, Data and Infrastructure Architecture disciplines
• Knowledge of Industry wide best practices and in software development
• Strong experience with Resilience and Performance testing
• Strong Communication skills demonstrating ability to present and explain ideas and concepts
• Strong Object Oriented analysis and design skills
• SCM/DevOps/CI/CD tools and Process (GIT/Bitbucket, Maven, Jenkins, Sonar), Testing tools and frameworks (Junit, Selenium, Cucumber, Mockito), Agile methodology and Tools (JIRA)
• Experience with Microservices and Event Architecture
• Nice to have experience with Cloud platforms, Container/Orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Cloud Foundry, OpenShift)

Responsibilities:

• Works as a hands-on Individual contributor leading the technical delivery of an Agile team
• Design, analyze, develop, test and debug and model the system components necessary to produce potentially shippable product iterations with each sprint
• Design and deliver high quality features that complies with standards and satisfies architectural tests
• Participates in Architecture and Engineering forums and perform design, code reviews
• Proactively look to develop and implement best practices across entire project team, practicing continuous process improvement
• Guide team towards best solutions for problems at hand
