IT Project Manager V (Closed)

SkillStorm is seeking a Project Manager for our client in Charlotte, North Carolina. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.

Description:

  • Delivery Lead
  • Delivery Lead supporting an external vendor Cloud Migration project. A Delivery Lead is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivery of defined deliverables which usually requires engagement from multiple teams such as a project or smaller program. Key responsibilities include communicating the work objectives, coordinating delivery, managing risks, ensuring compliance to standards, and providing end-to-end visibility into the health of the deliverables. This role ensures execution and delivery meets the client’s expectations in terms of the functionality, quality, timeline and cost. They facilitate sync points across multiple organizations to enable delivery
  • Coordinates and facilitates routines to support delivery –e.g. kick-offs, status reviews, stakeholder meetings, change controls, tollgates, etc.
  • Plans and coordinates delivery and dependencies with across multiple teams.
  • Facilitates dependency management/risk management/impediment removal for the defined deliverables.
  • Promotes/facilitates communication and collaboration across organizations to support the deliverable completion and timeline.
  • Gathers/facilitates status updates for the deliverables to stakeholders and leadership pertaining to delivery, risks/issues, and schedule.
  • Ensures that execution is aligned with deliverable requirements by working with the sponsor/stakeholders.
  • Ensures deliverables comply with Enterprise Change Management standards.
  • Supports resource planning for delivery/execution.
  • 7 to 10 + years experience.

 Required Skills Include:

  • Excellent Communication skills, written and verbal, at all levels
  • Ability to interact with business leaders, external vendors and internal technology groups
  • Microsoft Office suite
  • Solid experience of process & release management
  • Can work unsupervised
  • Is a self-starter
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Responsible for end-to-end management and delivery of a material change for a project of high complexity across multiple departments across multiple business units.
  • Manages, leads and directs the work efforts of resources that may be functionally aligned as part of the project and/or organizationally aligned as direct reports.
  • Responsible for the end-to-end integration of various work streams in order to deliver the intended project solution. Responsibilities include: Manage Project Scope, Timeline and Budget/Expenses; obtain and align resources to key project roles; establish clearly defined responsibilities and accountabilities; oversight/Manage/Lead project execution, integration and implementation; Risk Management and Mitigation Planning; Readiness / Change Adoption/Stakeholder Management; Quality Assurance, ensure that all applicable change requirements are satisfied; Acts as the primary point of contact and integration for the project; Acts as a Program Manager if required on an interim basis; Ability to represent / deputise senior project stakeholders where required
