IT Project Manager V (Closed)
SkillStorm is seeking a Project Manager for our client in Jersey City, New Jersey. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.
Description:
- Candidate will lead all aspects of implementation, which includes planning, organizing, supporting, deployment, coordination, and management. This role requires a broad range of technical skills and excellent project management skills.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Have knowledge or quick learning of internal systems for change related requests i.e. Remedy)
- Manage all aspects of equipment deployment from: customer relationship, project plan of record, project schedule, cost, and inventory.
- Direct or complete equipment deployment activities
- Ensure that quality of the service providers’ work is within standards.
- Maintain a good working relationship with the customer's representatives and all disciplines involved in the project.
- Coordinate activities and ensure that all disciplines directly involved in the project are in line with the project goals and objectives.
- Ensure proper records are maintained for all equipment deployment.
- Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas.
- Attend internal coordination and progress meetings, providing updates as needed.
- Manage day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope.
- Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
- Perform on-going status checks with the program team, and periodic reviews with upper management
- Manage integration of third-party technical partners with internal team
Skills:
- Project management certification not required but experience with ITIL is preferred.
- The successful candidate should have knowledge of VoIP and SIP telecommunications and Cisco Call Manager related technology, and experience managing large scale implementation projects.
- Five years of overall experience in project management/administration with at least 3 years of proven infrastructure project management and delivery of technical voice projects.
- Excellent time management and project management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be a self-starter and have the ability to work independently.
- Ability to balance competing priorities.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, analytic and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work as part of a diverse team.
- Ability to manage projects and approach tasks in a structured and systematic manner.
Required:
- CISCO TELEPHONY EXPERTISE IS REQUIRED.
