IT Project Manager IV (Closed)

SkillStorm is seeking a Project Manager / Release Train Engineer for our client in Charlotte, North Carolina. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.

Team Description

  • Quantitative Finance (QF) utilizes complex financial analysis to enhance Treasury’s analytical platform and model capabilities. Implementation team within QF develops and maintains a hardware and software platform capable of providing analytics to groups across Treasury and the client, and develops and daily executes the overnight process which produces those analytics.

Role Description:

  • The release train engineer is responsible for managing all the related activities associated with the releases of the Quantitative Finance Analytics Platform (QFAP) in scope for the LMA control framework. Key responsibilities include coordinating and facilitating the releases, managing dependencies across teams in the release train & ensures impediments to feature delivery are resolved quickly and protects the team from outside disruptions to the planned releases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates and facilitates scheduled releases for the QFCF application
  • Ensures Enterprise Change Management and other policy requirements for technology solutions are met for the features delivered in the releases
  • Responsible for ensuring all documentation for a release are captured in appropriate enterprise tools ( ITSM Remedy etc.)
  • Co-ordinate and obtain all approvals pertaining to a release.
  • Liaise with the development team to ensure all appropriate artifacts are captured as evidence for testing etc.

Required Skills:

  • Technical Degree or similar experience
  • Experience with Software development practices and methodologies (Agile)
  • Understanding of Enterprise change standards and tools (Jira, ITSM Remedy etc.)
  • Ability to work well in a cooperative, time-sensitive, market-driven environment
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision
  • Analytical skills, critical thinking and a strong desire to learn

Desired Skills:

  • Working knowledge of general bank policies, programs, and procedures
  • Scripting and automation experience
  • Experience working with Quantitative development teams

3 Must Have Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with SDLC
  • Change Management experience
  • Capacity to handle multiple tasks and work in a flexible environment
