IT Business Analyst V (Closed)

SkillStorm is seeking a Business Analyst / Quality Assurance Specialist for our client in New York, New York. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.

Description:

• We are seeking for candidate with experience as BA / QA and with strong understanding on Agile/Scrum. He/She will be working as Business Analyst to capture the User Requirement, create business requirement document and track the deliveries with different Teams. This needs understanding of different financial product and Trade booking / lifecycle with exposure to FX Products ( FX SPOTS, Forward, Swap, Options). This role will also help with QA validation and coordinate user acceptance testing and provide status updates.

Responsibilities:

• Connect with Business Stakeholders for use requirements, create BRD and review with users to sign off
• Track Requirement in JIRA and write detailed story as per users discussion. Make sure deliverable is properly tracked in jira.
• Work with Dev team and validate new features or existing functionality and work with users to provide sign off for release.
• Help team in sizing the requirement and get estimates.
• Work with Dev team to translate the requirement and at time there will be more than one Dev team to track the delivery
• Host UAT sign off discussion to get user sign off on requirements.
• Manage JIRA Portfolio and Epics to track user requirements and Deliverables.
• Create reports to reflect progress on project deliverable
• Work with Scrum teams to make sure they align to right process.
• Required Skills and Qualifications:
• 5-10 years of experience as Business Analyst in Finance Domain – Trade Capture /Regulatory Reporting.
• Strong collaboration and relationship management skills
• Experience with FX products ( FX Cash , Options)
• Ability to resolve conflict between team members and take a discussion to conclusion or next steps.
• Strong analytical skills. Comfortable with turning ambiguity into a defined problem
• Ability to breakdown the Epic size requirements into deliverables for sprints into Product backlog
• Experience as Scrum Master or Good Understanding of Agile (Scrum) and working with agile teams. Experience with Agile tools and metrics.
• Understanding of different phases of Testing (Functional/Regression/Integration) and tools.
• Experience working with end Users/Business partners and writing stories.
• Experience writing Business Requirement Documents/User Stories for development team.
• Experience working with backend Tables and Business Rules/Logic
• Experience with Requirement/Defect management Tools ( Ex JIRA)
• Experience with Visio, MS office Project and other MS tools
• Strong prioritization, negotiation and problem resolution skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication/presentation skills
• Ability to work across business groups and regions and in a team environment
• Strong presentation skills and able to tailor communication to suit the audience
