Identity Access Management Engineer (Closed)

SkillStorm is seeking a Identity Access Management Engineer for our client in Charlotte, NC. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.

Job Description:

  • The Global Information Security Application Production Services (GIS APS) team is looking for a candidate to fill a senior-level role in Level 2 Production Support. The candidate would be expected to have extensive knowledge in the IAM space or at least equivalent expertise in supporting business critical applications. Some of the responsibilities that someone filling this role should expect are monitoring and driving the resolution of incidents, analyzing data (such as data in Splunk or AppDynamics) to remediate existing problems, and reviewing changes to maintain a stable environment. To meet these responsibilities, the candidate should have expertise around networking protocols such TCP/IP and PKI as well as knowledge around Java and Middleware applications. Additionally, the candidate should exhibit a self-starting attitude towards driving various types of project work to completion. Some examples include the creation of and maintenance of dashboards, working hand in hand with Engineering partners, and owning or assisting with the development of solutions aimed at improving the environment.

Required Job Skills:

  • College degree, specialized training, or equivalent work experience
  • Should exhibit disciplined, process-driven, and results-oriented approach when providing support
  • Foundational knowledge of core ITIL processes such as the management of incidents, changes, and problems.
  • Experience supporting Web Access Management solutions, such as Ping Access or CA SiteMinder
  • Experience supporting Federated IAM protocols, such as SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect
  • Exceptional with the Splunk environment – able to analyze logs, create/modify dashboards, and utilize reporting and alerting functionality
  • Able to troubleshoot and analyze HTTP traces
  • Familiarity with both the Unix and Windows Operating Systems
  • Ability to understand and utilize various programming or scripting languages such as shell scripting, Perl, and PowerShell
  • Practical knowledge of SSL/PKI
  • Knowledge of LDAP and Active Directory services

Required Soft Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrates ability to work as an individual contributor in a global team environment
  • Capable of handling multiple communication channels during production issues
  • Willingness to assist with and own the drafting of technical documentation
  • Able to contribute to project-based work such as dashboards and monitoring solutions

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with Apache and IIS solutions
  • Database and SQL knowledge
  • Experience supporting Directory Services infrastructure
  • Experience supporting PKI Infrastructure
  • Understanding of the OSI model
  • Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
  • Familiarity and understanding of high-availability environments (AppViewX)
  • Application monitoring solutions such as AppDynamics and SiteScope
  • Security+ and CISSP certifications or similar
