SkillStorm is seeking a Hadoop Developer for our client in Charlotte, NC. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.

Job Description:

• Cashpro is the online digital platform for mid level, large and global institutional clients. This role within Cashpro Data Servies is for an application developer to design, develop, maintain and manage Data warehouse applications that will power the data behind the overall Cashpro Platform and its suite of applications. This role is responsible for handson development with strong data sourcing and provisioning skills to buildout the data lake, performance tuning, real time ingestion, and also perform analytics.
• This is Hadoop developer role supporting Data Platforms within Cashpro ecosystem. Candidate must possess a passion for producing high quality Hadoop solutions, be ready to jump in and solve complex problems, and interact with users to understand the requirements and deliver solutions.

• Data modelling and architecture

Required Skills:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• 5+ years of handson experience in designing, building and supporting Hadoop Applications using Spark, Sqoop and Hive.
• Strong knowledge of working with large data sets and high capacity big data processing platform, SQL and Data Warehouse projects
• 5+ years of experience in developing application in PySpark or Scala
• Strong experience in Unix and Shell scripting.
• 5+ years of experience as a Backend developer in J2EE technologies and framework like Spring, JDBC, SOAP/REST API, etc. for integration.
• 5+ years in Data Warehouse / Data Mart / Data Mining/ Business Intelligence
• Familiarity with noSQL Databases (preferably Elastic, Marklogic) etc.
• Solid experience with Oracle/Exadata; ability to navigate complex SQL scripts/queries/STOR PROCs and optimization.
• 2+ years of experience working in Agile teams (Preferably Scaled Agile)
• Knowledge of business banking and industry processes

Desired Skills:

• Hands on development and implementation experience with any ETL tool (Informatica, Alteryx, Trifacta)
• Experience in Flume/Kafka is an added advantage.
• 5+ years of experience as a Backend developer in J2EE technologies and framework like Spring, JDBC, SOAP/REST API, etc. for integration.
• Experience with design and development of REST API's and modern API technologies.
• Hands on development and implementation experience with any ETL tool (Informatica, Alteryx, Trifacta)
• Experience in working with WebLogic/WebSphere/JBoss, JPA/JDBC/Hibernate, Maven
