FX Business Analyst (Closed)

SkillStorm is seeking a FX Business Analyst for our client in Chicago, IL. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.

Job Description:

  • Do you like to do data analysis? Are you detail oriented? Do you have excellent written and verbal communication skills? Do you have experience or expertise in Foreign Exchange (FX) markets? If you answered yes to any of these questions you should consider a job with Bank of America’s Global Foreign Exchange (GFX) group.
  • GFX Technology is an agile environment. We use “Code” to capture requirements for our Development and QA teams. We work with business partners around the world.
  • We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join our team and grow with us as our business is expanding.

As A Successful Candidate And Team Member You Must:

  • Be able to communicate clearly both written and verbally: 
  • Ability to run meetings with business partners and other groups across the bank to gather requirements. Communicate the requirements clearly to Development and QA. Use Microsoft Work, Excel and PowerPoint to clearly document the high level requirements from the Business. Write detailed stories and acceptance criteria for Development to code to and QA to use as the basis for their test cases.
  • Be detail-oriented – You must have the ability to keep asking the right questions until you get all the details behind a one sentence business requirement. You need to always be thinking about what impact does this have on different groups within FX (Front Office, Middle Office and Back Office) and include them in requirements discussions.
  • Be organized – ability to juggle multiple projects at one time and work with many different groups.
  • Be flexible with day-to-day responsibilities – Business priorities can change quickly, so you need to be able to shift your focus quickly and keep a positive attitude.
  • Be self-motivated – Be able to on multiple projects and run with them with little guidance.
  • Demonstrate good judgment - Make good decisions independently.
  • Be able to write SQL queries against database, Foreign Exchange or Financial industry experience required.

About The Role:

  • You will be responsible for working with Business partners around the world and gather, write and communicate requirements in a high pressure FX Market environment where things change at a fast pace and Business expectations are high.
  • You will be working with one of Bank of America’s foremost Agile development teams, using techniques from Scrum software development methodologies
  • You will participate in most phases of a project life cycle including gathering requirements, writing stories and acceptance criteria, estimations, test planning, writing user guides and training material and writing external and internal release com
  • You will be gathering evidence from various repositories (sharepoint, source code, database, wiki pages, etc) for Audit/Regulatory requests.munication.
