Full Stack Java Developer (Closed)

SkillStorm is seeking a Full Stack Java Developer for our client in Charlotte, NC. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.

Job Description:

• Juno is a tier-1 platform hosting multiple order entry portals for retail and institutional clients. Several business critical initiative, enhancements and bug fixes are planned in near future in Market Linked Investments product group. and we are in need of skilled people who can deliver and support during U.S. hours. Not filling this role would put us risk in meeting our ever growing business demands. We will not be able to provide business support and will impact our business deliverables

What Are We Looking For:

• Highly motivated web/core full stack java developer with 10+ years of industry experience, who is strong in one or more areas of the Java stack. Financial experience is preferred but not must. In addition to Java skills we also require database skills such as writing various SQLs and stored procedures for well-known databases. Good design and analytical skills will be a big plus. Based on the needs and your interests you get to work on web side or backend/core java or both areas. Experience in Order Management Systems is a plus.

What We Do:

• We enable Financial Advisors to trade various fixed income (bonds) and other type of securities online.

What Is Exciting:

• An internal portal containing several web applications which are powered by Spring stack, various Apache components, UI components, Web services, Integration with several upstream and downstream systems for pricing and trade booking using various integration technologies. Several Java processes running in the background enabling the overall workflow. Highly distributed architecture with several Java based applications (web and non-web java processes) processing and orchestrating real time pricing and trading of thousands of trades a day. Yes, you'll learn how various financial instruments such as bonds are traded.

Technology Stack:

• Web: Experience on Server Side Web Java Frameworks such as Spring MVC, Struts etc. - UI: Experience on industry leading JavaScript frameworks such as Angular , Node.JS, ReactJS etc.; and also experience on JSP, HTML, AJAX, JavaScript , CSS - Core: Core Java skills with experience on using popular packages, good design and debugging skills, performance tuning, Junit Testing - Database: Strong RDBMS skills on databases like SQL Server and/or Oracle. Good writing of SQL queries is required, and stored procedure experience is a plus.

Integration Skills:

• Spring Microservices, Web services, Messaging systems such as MQ (Messaging Queues), TIBCO RV and/or JMS - Extras: GIT Source Code Control, OpenShift, Kubernetes, Eclipse, Apache Maven or Ant, Continuous Integration/Deployment tools such as Jenkins, TDD/BDD, Cucumber?
