Front-End / Back-End Tester (Closed)

SkillStorm is seeking a Front-End / Back-End Tester for our client in Addison, Texas. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.

Description:

• The Data Transmission Services team provides enterprise solutions allowing internal business applications to securely exchange data with their external partners. The candidate will provide Testing support for the various Transmission Platforms within the Bank which include Production support-Smoke Test. Ability to work under minimal supervision on complex projects and tasks. Provide front-end and back-end testing support for software applications on diverse development platforms, hardware, technologies and tools.

Responsibilities:

• Design, code, test, debug and document new and existing components to ensure that software meets business, quality and operational needs
• Work with stakeholders, Solution and Enterprise Architects, to develop, analyze, split, and realize the implementation of features & enablers
• Build high quality code following unit testing and test-driven development.
• Work with CI and CD tools, and source control such as GIT and SVN.

Required Skills:

• 5 + years of Backend development experience with Node .js, Java, Spring, Spring Boot , RESTAPIs
• Angular experience is a MUST HAVE
• 4+ years of working knowledge of scripting languages such as Java, JavaScript, Perl, Ruby, Python, PHP, Groovy, Bash.
• 4+ years of experience in working in Engineering or Development roles with microservice-based application development
• 2+ years of experience in working with Puppet or Chef for automation and configuration script
• Proven Subject matter expertise in building Web-based high-volume/high-transaction applications
• Software development experience in one or more general-purpose programming languages: Python, Java, C, C++, React, html5, JavaScript, Node.js
• Experience working with Kafka/MQ, JSON, Restful API
• Experience in working Agile environment with incremental code deployments (Agile, Jira,
• Scrum/Kanban/SAFe, etc.)

Preferred Skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, Software Engineering or a relevant field.
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain protocol and processes with team and management.
• Current with industry trends, IT ops and industry best practices, and able to identify the ones we should implement.
• Time management skills, with the capability to prioritize and multitask as needed to collaborate and work with multiple teams.
• Solid team player and excellent troubleshooting skills, proactively work on the issues and should be a self-starter
