F5 Engineer / Change Manager (Closed)

SkillStorm is seeking an F5 Engineer for our client in Charlotte, NC OR Texas. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.

Job Description:

• Provide Solutions Engineering as a subject matter expertise for the Bank’s Application Delivery Network (ADN). This is a niche role and is a combination of Linux skills, Networking skills, Python, Ansible, Rest API, Load Balancing (F5) etc.
• Specific focus for this engineering position is Application Data Controller (ADC) for the delivery of application load balancing solutions for our GWB business partner. This position may in addition require occasional on-call level of technical support for high severity impacting incidents.
• The Individual must possess the ability to analyze and understand a variety of existing and emerging business requirements, interface with technology engagement teams as a fully seasoned and proficient traffic management solutions engineer, in providing best in class application load balancing solutions that align to meet business and technology requirements.
• Given the current resource risk either of these Resource Skills/Role Types should be considered and resumes promoted for interview if candidate meets either of these:
• Project Manager/Change Manager with Jira experience, Confluence Experience, Infrastructure Project Management/Delivery Experience
• Key Experience/Skills for good candidate
• 5 – 7 years of infrastructure project management networking experience and familiar with terms such as Load Balancing, Firewall, HTTP, DNS and other protocols
• Experience with the Project Management methodology and tools such as Enterprise project and change standards.
• Responsible for project coordination for Network sponsored projects within the technology systems of record (Nexus, ITSM, etc.).
• Ability to drive the project team and ensure project targets are aligning to the project schedule
• Ability to define and communicate project scope, schedule, risk/issues and costs in a consistent and organized method
• ADS Engineer – (Niche Role) Network Exp, F5 or ADS Load Balancing Exp, Linux Administration Exp, Python Exp, TCP/IP Understanding key skillsets
• Software Development and scripting skills for infrastructure environment..
• Should have experience writing scripts or tools using Ansible, Python, Bash other .scripting language
• Familiar with the Agile process and Automation principles involved when managing project delivery

Core Technologies:

• SME on various Load Balancing technologies and solutions, (LTM, GTM, ASM, APM, WAF, Irules Creation etc)
• Experience managing and building solutions around products such as - F5 BIG-IP Local Traffic Manager (LTM), F5 BIG-IP Global Traffic Manager (GTM), AVI Networks, VMWare, AWS, etc
• High level of knowledge with technologies/solutions such as DNS (External & Internal), DHCP, NTP, IP Management, Anycast Routing, Firewalls, Switching, etc
• Familiar with various products such as QIP, Infoblox, Bluecat, Efficent IP, Akamai and various Registrars
• Experience working with and managing Inventory via tools, such as : Remedy, BMC
