ETL / Informatica Developer (Closed)
SkillStorm is seeking an ETL / Informatica Developer for our client in New York, NY. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.
Primary Skill:
- ETL / Informatica: 7 years
- Data warehouse: 7 years
- Python: 2 years (Nice to have)
- PL/SQL
- Unix
- Cognos ( Basic)
Required Skills:
- Design and implement ETL routines in Infomatica
- Advocate for modular, testable code implementations
- Drive the mentality of code and quality being owned by the entire team.
- Identify code defects and work with other developers to address quality issues in functional code.
- Find bottlenecks and thresholds in existing code through the use of automation tools.
- Passion for continuing education and improving code quality.
- Operational triage of bugs, failed test cases and system failures in UAT and Prod
- Creating and optimizing infrastructure performance metrics
- Complete detailed peer code reviews
- Working in stages of the environment lifecycle
- Automation of manual data object creation and test cases
- Contribute to story refinement/defining requirements.
- Participate and guide team in estimating work necessary to realize a story/requirement through the delivery lifecycle.
- Perform spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas.
- Code solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements.
- Utilize multiple architectural components (across data, application, business) in design and development of client requirements.
- Assist team with resolving technical complexities involved in realizing story work.
Desired Skills:
- Contribute to existing test suites (integration, regression, performance), analyze test reports, identify any test issues/errors, and triage the underlying cause.
- Document and communicate required information for deployment, maintenance, support, and business functionality.
- Participate, contribute, and can coach team members in the delivery/release (CI-CD) events. e.g. branching timelines, pull requests, issue triage, merge/conflict resolution, release notes.
