SkillStorm develops technology talent for Fortune 100 enterprises and U.S. government agencies. You'll start with 12 weeks of paid, hands-on training on real team-based projects, then deploy straight to an enterprise or government client from your first day on assignment. You're not paying tuition. This is a salaried role with a defined path from qualified candidate to deployed professional.
We're looking for people at the start of their technical careers, including recent graduates and career changers with a technical background, who have the fundamentals, the motivation, and an interest in a structured route into enterprise software development.
Are you a fit? You probably qualify if you have either of the following:
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or a related technical field
- At least one year of technical work experience
You'll also need a working grasp of programming fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, databases and SQL, and object-oriented development in a language like Java or C#.
Every applicant who meets one of these paths gets an individual review. If you're unsure whether you qualify, apply anyway. That decision is ours to make, so don't rule yourself out.
You'll stand out if you bring:
- Strong problem-solving and logical reasoning skills
- Clear written and verbal communication with teammates and stakeholders
- Eligibility to obtain a U.S. government security clearance
- Willingness to relocate for a client placement
- Authorization to work in the U.S. as a W2 employee of SkillStorm (no C2C arrangements)
Your work on client assignment:
- Develop and improve applications using your client's languages, frameworks, and tools
- Produce clean, efficient, well-organized code that meets professional standards
- Troubleshoot and resolve defects, and provide technical support
- Take part in code reviews, both giving and receiving constructive feedback
- Work with stakeholders to turn business requirements into technical specifications
- Assist with testing and production deployments, and keep technical documentation current
- Stay up to date on industry tools and practices through continued training
What you get with SkillStorm:
- A competitive salary, paid from day one with no training costs to you
- Enterprise-level technical training and certifications
- Placements with Fortune 100 companies and government agencies
- Health, vision, dental, and life insurance, plus a 401(k)
Ongoing mentorship and support through training and deployment
