Launch your software career with a company built to do exactly that.
SkillStorm develops technology talent for Fortune 100 enterprises and U.S. government agencies. You'll complete 12 weeks of paid, hands-on training on real, team-based projects, then go straight to an enterprise or government client, employed and paid from your first day. This isn't a program you pay for. It's a salaried role with a defined path from "qualified" to "deployed professional."
We're looking for people at the start of their technical careers, including recent graduates, career changers with a technical background, and transitioning service members and veterans, who have strong fundamentals, real motivation, and want a structured way into enterprise software work.
Are you eligible? You probably are if you meet these:
- A bachelor's degree in a related technical field (Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or similar)
- At least 1 year of technical work experience
You'll also need a working knowledge of programming fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, databases and SQL, and software development in an object-oriented language such as Java or C#.
Every applicant who meets one of these paths gets an individual review for fit. Not sure you qualify? Apply anyway. That decision is ours to make, so don't rule yourself out.
You'll be a strong fit if you bring:
- Sound problem-solving and logical reasoning skills
- Clear written and spoken communication with teammates and stakeholders
- The ability to obtain a U.S. government security clearance
- Willingness to relocate for a client placement
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. as a SkillStorm W2 employee (no C2C arrangements)
Veterans and transitioning service members: Structured training, a clear mission, clearance-eligible work, and relocation support. This model fits how you already work, and we actively want you in this pipeline.
Your work after deployment:
- Develop and improve applications using your client's languages, frameworks, and tools
- Write clean, efficient, well-organized code that meets professional standards
- Troubleshoot and resolve defects, and provide technical support
- Take part in code reviews, both giving and receiving constructive feedback
- Work with stakeholders to turn business requirements into technical specifications
- Support testing and production deployments, and keep technical documentation up to date
- Stay current on industry tools and practices through continuous training
Why candidates choose SkillStorm:
- Competitive salary, paid from day one, with no training costs to you
- Enterprise-level technology training and certifications
- Placements with Fortune 100 companies and government agencies
- Health, vision, dental, and life insurance, plus a 401(k)
