Launch your software career with a company built to do exactly that.
SkillStorm develops technology talent for Fortune 100 enterprises and U.S. government agencies. You'll complete 12 weeks of paid, hands-on training on real team-based projects, then deploy directly to an enterprise or government client, effective from day one. You don't pay for this program. It's a paid position with a defined path from "qualified" to "deployed professional."
We're looking for people at the start of their technical careers, including recent graduates, career changers with a technical background, and transitioning service members and veterans, who have the fundamentals and the motivation and want a structured route into enterprise software work.
Do you qualify? You probably do if you meet the following:
- A bachelor's degree in a related technical field (Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or similar)
- At least 1 year of technical work experience
You'll also need a working knowledge of programming fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, databases and SQL, and software development in an object-oriented language like Java or C#.
Every applicant who meets one of those paths gets an individual review for fit. Not sure whether you qualify? Apply anyway. That decision is ours to make, so don't rule yourself out.
A strong candidate also has:
- Strong problem-solving and logical reasoning skills
- Clear written and verbal communication with teammates and stakeholders
- The ability to obtain a U.S. government security clearance
- Openness to relocating for a client placement
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. on SkillStorm's W2 (no C2C arrangements)
Veterans and transitioning service members: Structured training, a clear mission, clearance-eligible work, and relocation support. This model fits the way you already work, and we actively want you in this pipeline.
What you'll do once deployed:
- Build and improve applications using your client's languages, frameworks, and tools
- Write clean, efficient, well-organized code that meets professional standards
- Troubleshoot and resolve defects, and provide technical support
- Take part in code reviews, giving and receiving constructive feedback
- Work with stakeholders to turn business requirements into technical specifications
- Support testing and production deployments, and maintain technical documentation
- Stay current on industry tools and techniques through ongoing training
Why people choose SkillStorm:
- Competitive salary, paid from day one rather than training you pay for
- Enterprise-grade technology training and certifications
- Work with Fortune 100 companies and government agencies
- Health, vision, dental, and life insurance, plus a 401(k)
- Ongoing mentorship and support through training and placement
