Begin your software engineering career with an organization built around one mission: getting new technologists deployed.
SkillStorm prepares technology professionals for Fortune 100 enterprises and U.S. government agencies. Over 12 weeks of paid, immersive training, you'll collaborate on real-world team projects, then move straight into a client engagement where you contribute from your very first day. There's no tuition and no cost to you. This is a salaried position with a defined route from "ready" to "deployed."
We're looking for early-career technologists, including recent graduates and career changers with a technical background, who bring solid fundamentals, strong motivation, and a desire for a structured entry into enterprise software development.
Are you eligible? You're likely a match if you meet these:
- A bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline (Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or comparable)
- At least 1 year of hands-on technical work experience
In addition, you should have a practical grasp of core programming concepts: data structures, algorithms, databases and SQL, and object-oriented development in a language such as Java or C#.
Every candidate who meets one of these paths receives an individual review. Unsure whether you're eligible? Submit your application anyway. Deciding that is our job, so don't count yourself out.
You'll stand out if you bring:
- Sharp analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and spoken communication with peers and stakeholders
- Eligibility to obtain a U.S. government security clearance
- Willingness to relocate for a client assignment
- U.S. work authorization as a W2 employee of SkillStorm (C2C arrangements not accepted)
Your responsibilities on client assignment:
- Develop and improve applications using your client's languages, frameworks, and tools
- Produce clean, efficient, well-organized code that meets professional standards
- Troubleshoot and resolve defects; deliver technical support and solutions
- Take part in code reviews, offering and accepting constructive feedback
- Work with stakeholders to turn business needs into technical specifications
- Assist with testing and production deployments; keep technical documentation up to date
- Stay current on industry tools and practices through continued training
What SkillStorm offers:
- Competitive pay: you're compensated from day one rather than paying for your own training
- Enterprise-level technical training and industry certifications
- Assignments with Fortune 100 companies and government agencies
- Health, dental, vision, and life insurance, plus a 401(k)
- Ongoing mentorship and support through training and into your placement
